My Story
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC-S) in the state of Ohio with my supervisory endorsement and Co-owner of Mindful Connections Counseling.
After graduating with a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Youngstown State University, I began my career working with children and adolescents with a range of behavioral diagnoses such as Autism and ADHD. I gained experience working in schools, homes, and the community doing ABA therapy which inspired me to get my master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from YSU.
Since then, I have gained experience counseling in both community mental health and private practice. I've worked in various areas in the field including medically assisted treatment (MAT), inpatient residential rehabilitation, group counseling, and outpatient mental health and substance abuse counseling.
I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, Gestalt Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing in my work with clients. I work with individuals ages 7 and up with a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, self-esteem issues, chronic illness, chronic pain, ADHD, Bipolar disorder, grief, mood disorders, men’s issues, career counseling, stress, life transitions, LGBTQIA+ issues, , substance use, and gambling addiction, which I have received specialized training for. I am bilingual and can also speak Greek.
